Gary Michels, DDS

For over four decades, Dr. Gary Michels has dedicated his life to serving the people of North Carolina. Driven by his passion to make a difference in his community, he has chaired a local school board, served on church councils, and is a co-founder of The Dream Factory of North Carolina, a charity that has granted over 250 dreams to seriously ill children.

Committed to education, he has lectured to dental societies across North Carolina and has founded his own learning center, which provides post-graduate education to other dental professionals. Dr. Michels is also the author of several books, including “Unusual Success in Dentistry” and “New Smile, New You!” and holds a patent for a dental device. He served as an adjunct professor for East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, where he shared his passion for dentistry and clinical knowledge with younger dentists and has even run the Walt Disney World Marathon.

Dr. Michels is a proud father of three children. His son, Austin, has become a dentist just like his father. His daughters, Alexis and Arissa, are both devoted and caring nurses, offering their expertise and support to those in need in the Raleigh area.

Dr. Michels sets an exceptional example of dedication and service. He has inspired countless people to strive for a better world and make a significant impact on the lives of those around them.

Education And Training

During the 1980 graduation ceremony of Emory University School of Dentistry, Dr. Michels was recognized and awarded for his exceptional clinical achievements. He graduated “With Honors” and ranked second out of ninety-three fellow dentists in his class. He was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a renowned national honor society for dentists.

Dr. Michels has dedicated himself to becoming uniquely qualified to assist his patients in achieving the brightest and healthiest smiles imaginable. He is a highly skilled cosmetic dentist who has undergone extensive training. He began his training with Dr. Ronald Goldstein, a man many consider to be the founder of cosmetic dentistry and has since continued to study under the guidance of the most noted practitioners in the United States, including Larry Rosenthal, famously known as “the dentist of the stars” in New York. Dr. Michels remains passionate about putting smiles on the faces of each and every one of his patients.
